The U.S.A. Arrogant?

There has been a great deal of talk these days about the president apologizing to foreign nations for our arrogance. Some people seem to think he is showing the rest of the world his weakness, while others think he is helping rebuild our reputation as a world leader. Me? I think we need to take a good long look at ourselves.

Now think about this, if we say we are the greatest country in the world, what does that to say to every other country? Well it says they are not. Who are we to say we are better than them, have you ever lived in Canada? England? Germany? Spain? Greece? Any other country? You know for a fact that living here is better? Really? We are better than Sweden? Are we? You know that for a fact? Okay so if we are so much better than every other country, tell me, why? How so? Arrogant? How about the FACT that we live in North America, so the U.S.A. and Canada are In North America. How about South America? Peru, Chile, Brazil. All these con tries are in the Americas, and we are the only ones who have the audacity to call ourselves Americans. SO WHAT DOES THAT SAY TO THEM? Other people who live in the Americas are being told, every day, that are NOT Americans we are! Are we Arrogant? Have we earned the right to be?

Are we the Continental version of Marlon Brando, telling directors how he wants to do a scene, the directors going absolutely insane trying to convince him he is wrong, but he does it his way anyway, then wins the Oscar for best actor... again! I don't know, you tell me.
