With all this talk about death in the news as of late, it beings up some interesting ideas for me. I think often about if there is a such thing as heaven and hell. It seems hell is a kind of new idea, relative to the original Hebrews and the magi before that. (if you don't know what I mean by Magi there was a man, Zoroaster who was arguably the first person to teach of their being one God who created all, his followers were called magi, the three magi, or wise men, who visited the baby Jesus in the story of Christmas were followers of the teachings of Zoroaster) So what if hell was just invented to scare people into being good, and I think even more importantly, to give good people an idea of justice.
SO Whats The Point? If there is no hell, no on really ever gets punished for their crimes. Sure they may go to jail, where they get to work out and have sex with each other and take drugs all day, but is that really punishment? You tell me.
