The Police and Being Black

With all this talk about the police arresting a Harvard scholar for breaking into his own home I have been thinking about race relations, and some of my own experiences, as a white man, with the police.
Okay so, first of all if I were to mouth off to a cop I would be told that I should know better and I would be called an idiot for not knowing to keep my mouth shut. But if I was black all of a sudden the cop is the idiot and a racist. That is reverse discrimination and is not fair.
HOWEVER, that being said, white people who deny that black people are treated unfairly by the police are completely clueless! Anyone who thinks that justice is fair and police do not treat whites better, well, here is a true story that happened to me.
I was hanging out in a dead end ally, drinking beers, under age, with a black friend when a beat cop walked up on us. We saw him coming, and clearly he saw what we were doing. There was no getting out of it, no place to run. We were caught, red handed, and I was already contemplating what I was going to say to my parents. The cop was looking dead at my friend and started rolling up his sleeves. He glanced at me and said "Go home kid, but the jungle bunny stays."
I'll never forget that, I was raised very much Liberal and that was my first real experience with racism. Before that I thought racism was something that happened a long time ago, before any of us were ever born.
The biggest argument I hear from ignorant white people is that the slaves were freed over 100 years ago, why do they still complain? This is an ignorant comment because even though that was a long time ago, segregation was just gotten rid of in the 1960's. That means that black people that are, say between 25 and 40, were raised by parents, not great grandparents, not grandparents, but their mothers and fathers, grew up in a world where it was illegal for them to pee in the same toilet as a white person. And they are supposed to be all happy and grateful that their life is so wonderful now.
Just remember, they are not in the ghetto because they are stupid, or lazy, or evil, they are in the ghetto because there poor, and they are poor because we had the entire history of this country to build up our communities and earn a decent living, and they have only been able to do so for the past 40 years. And guess what, when we had only been here for 40 years, we where the poor ones. The Irish immigrants were considered criminals, and drunks and were treated poorly, and the Italian immigrants were poor, and considered all mafia members and on and on. Every population that was looked down upon as criminals and lazy and thieves, were poor and, because they were looked down upon, had to work twice as hard to build up to where everyone else was. The main difference between where the black population is now, and where the minority white populations of the past were at that time, is that, back then, even poor white people that were treated badly, were treated better than blacks so now they have to work three times as hard as everyone else for the same benefit.

Obama?

Okay I am still trying to have some faith in this guy, but I don't know. He's a Democrat, and they are supposedly supposed to help us normal people instead of the small percentage of the rich who get help all the time from the government. However, I don't know, I hear what he has said he is going to do, but then I look at what he HAS done, and what do I see?
He made a whole bunch of multi millionaire car company owners, able to declare bankruptcy and keep their millions of dollars, AND get Government bonuses, while the normal people STILL got laid off anyway. Yeah he saved the car companies... owners, the rich guys, butts. What about ours?
Okay okay lets not just bash Obama you just tell me, sense he's been in office he has given away TRILLIONS of dollars, how much of that did you get? How much? $8? $12? People who make 20 million dollars a year, they got 75 or 80 million dollars each, because they need diamond encrusted gold plated sinks, and what do we get? What is this great CHANGE he promised? WHERE is this great change? OH so he only is going to raise taxes on people who make over $250,000 Right, for what? To give all that extra tax money to medical and prescription COMPANIES, fortune 500's and doctors that make WAY WAY WAY more than $250,000 IT IS TRICKLE UP economics!!!
Relax, just think for a moment, before you get all mad at me for slamming Obama, just forget all the hype, and everything else I said for a moment and just ask yourself again, what has he done for YOU? He made a lot of very rich people much richer, but what has he done for YOU?
Sean Hannity keeps going off about Obama being like Robin Hood, But that's not true at all, Obama does not want all that money he is going to take from people who make $250K and give it to the poor, he is giving it to the billionaire company owners so they will allow us to vaccinate our children. Oh what humanitarians! GIVE ME THE MONEY I'll BUY The shots myself! Cut each of US, who make under 250K a check for $150,000 That will cost a trillion, same as he's spending anyway! AND it'll fix the economy in a week the DOW would jump up 400,000,000 points.

Stupid Red Light Cameras!

Okay so I don't know where your at but here in Chicago we have red light cameras that we're put there to "make us more safe" Bullstine! and I can prove it! Dag nabbit they actually make it more dangerous, why? Because when they put a red light camera on a light, they also LOWER THE TIME OF THE YELLOW!!!! That way they can write more tickets! So making money has become more important that the safety of the proletariat I suppose. And the Bourgeoisie sit in city hall and count their money and Laugh and laugh and laugh because Daily knows he will never loose an election.. DAMN IT The whole move to Canada thing looks like a better idea everyday!

Why Are People So Stupid?

Honestly, I mean WTF. I was in the gas station this morning, and I bought a bottle of Mtn Dew, World of Warcraft Game Fuel, (HORDE of course!) And I handed the dude $37.92 And said, this, and the change on pump 1. He looked at me like I just asked him to kill his own grandmother. He looked at me, then at the money, then at the pump. Then he said "um..." I mean WTF? All he had to do was ring up the drink, type in 3792 then the cash register would do the math for him, IT WOULD DO THE MATH FOR HIM he did not even have to figure it out. SO what did he do? He took two fives out of the register and made change for the ten I gave him, so he would have a 20, two 5's and two 1's Instead of the 20, 10, and two 1's I gave him. Then he took the money for the drink out of one of the 5' s so he he could make change for that, then he counted that, and stopped because he realized he missed a step somewhere and looked around bewildered again, and at that point I just told him how much to charge me and he nodded and smiled and set the pump for what I said.
So, I think this is a great example of where our country is headed, the new cash registers have auto change slots, they don't even need to know how to count change. We need to be either stupid, or lazy because if we were all intelligent and active, we would realize not only how badly the government is screwing us, but we would be smart enough and strong enough to actually do something about it. They want us stupid. And they are doing a great job of it!

The 4th of July

Four score and seven years ago, our forefathers brought forth on this continent a new nation... If you have never actually read the Gettysburg address, I highly recommend it. Lincoln truly understood what this country was about. I wonder how many people these days do. Not once, anywhere in there, in the entire address, does he mention anything about, the meaning of life or the American dream, being to get rich. It's all about freedom and Liberty, and most of all, about the fact that the president, no matter if it's Bush or Obama, Ragen or Clinton, and all the sex crazed money grubbing kooks in the house and senate, are NOT the government, WE are. They are supposed to represent us, not their own pocket books. Or even Our pocket books for that matter! Their job is supposed to be to make sure the army is there to stop people from trying to kill us, the roads are there so we can travel, mostly for trade, and to regulate eachother, not us.
At least thats what I make of it. What do you think?

Digital T.V. is CRAP CONSPIRICY!

Okay so my children do not have cable t.v. in their room, they just have an old fashioned TV with an antenna. So we went ahead and got the converter box for the digital conversion. Okay so here is what I don't understand... The government says we have to go digital because it is that much better. That is insane, the government is a bunch of rich morons who are not watching over the air television in the first place. NO they have contracts with the people who control the digital media and are telling us digital is better because they are getting paid to tell us that.
Anyone can say anything they want to argue that it is better, the FACT of the matter is I have to watch this garbage and here is the difference...
OLD T.V. : Batman and Robin climb the side of a building, Liberace pops out of a window and says "Hey look it's the Dynamic Duo." To which Robin replies "Holy candelabra Batman, it's Liberace!"
NEW (government says better) T.V. Batman and Robin cli....m.....ba.... side blocky pixels building, Liberace .... blocks pixels, look it's...namic Du.... To wi... in replies ..Holy candelabra Bat... blocky pixels ache!
OKAY so the picture quality is better, SO WHAT DOES THAT MEAN IF IT DOSENT WORK!!! I would rather see a staticy picture than a really sharp blocky pixelated nothingness.

So whats the point? The government is EVIL dag nabbit! REVOLUTION!! Or at least a REAL tea parties not some "Oh yeah hey like we wanna protest here but we don't wann get in any ones way or anything so don't worry we'll just move it over to the next street or just send everyone home no problem have a nice day officer."
